Community Service: Vision Volunteers Needed for Central County Health Expo

Volunteer eye care specialists (eye doctors, technicians, opticians & support staff) are needed for the Central County Health Expo serving the homeless & low-income families in OC.

We need 10-15 Optometrists. If we can’t get volunteers, we will have to turn away thousands of seniors, adults and children. We need your HELP !!

EVENT:  The 5th Annual Health Expo and Senior Resource Fair

DATE:  Saturday, October 11th

LOCATION:  Concorde College 12951 Euclid St Garden Grove, CA 92840

TIMES:  8am-4pm (various volunteer shift times available)

Optometrist Needed: Vision Screening Event @ Fort Irwin (Compensation Available)

Military children do not have glasses benefits. Come help Kids Vision for Life and VSP give back to families of those who serve our country!

EVENT:  Kids Vision for Life and VSP sponsored vision clinic.  There is funding to pay optometrists to work that day. The rate is $55/ hour plus reimbursement for mileage

DATES:  Saturday, October 25, 2014

LOCATION:  Fort Irwin Military Base

TIMES:  10:00 am until 4:00 pm

Legislative: Send Gov Brown a message to please sign AB 2418 into law!

Hello Doctors,

AB 2418 is sitting on the Governor Brown’s desk. Please urge him to sign this into law so your patients can get their prescription drops refilled early and covered by their insurance. This will help alleviate the compliance issues we all face with patients as we do our best to take care of their eyes.
